I think Margalo left without saying goodbye to Stuart, either because she was too scared to say anything about it, or maybe because she thought Stuart wouldn't let her leave if she told him about it.

I think Margalo left whithout saying good bye because she probably didn't want to make him worried. Margalo thinks before she acts, unlike Stuart. I hope she comes back.
